Carmichael Lynch Relate's DIAL Hosts "Intermission"

Published on March 12th, 2017

Carmichael Lynch’s Diversity Inclusion Action League (DIAL) recently hosted two all-agency “Intermissions” — occasional presentations by agency staff about their passions, projects and personal experiences outside of the workplace. Already in 2017, we’ve heard from four unique CL’ers whose passions range from learning medical-grade hypnosis to advocating for suicide prevention. Read more about their stories below:

Matt Petersen: Matt loves Haiti. Turns out he’s learned a lot about philanthropy and how we can all be smarter and more engaged in our contributions. Matt shared his experience serving on the board of a nonprofit and gave challenging yet insightful tips on how we can give in a way that truly helps eradicate poverty — instead of reinforcing the status quo.

Maddie Wolf: After an unthinkable tragedy, Maddie Wolf was awarded the 2016 Founders’ Grant to help promote suicide prevention and awareness. And, boy, did she get to work. Maddie’s story of healing, hope and connection inspired us to think differently about mental health and how to fight the stigma around mental health and suicide.

Krista Kelly: Krista Kelly is in control of her mind, and she knows how to use it. She went so far as to retrain her subconscious mind, learn medical-grade hypnosis and use it to have a pain-free, drug-free childbirth. We heard her unique story and tips for harnessing the power of the subconscious mind.

Jim Boblett: Jim is known as a fit and healthy guy, but we didn’t know he is a life coach as well! After a life-changing health achievement in 1999, Jim decided to live a healthier, better life. And he’s been doing just that. What started as a bucket list check mark became a lifestyle and an opportunity to help others.
